Hey SOG (Soldier Of God),
It’s another beautiful end of the week, how are you today?
You might see some words in caps but I promise you I’m not yelling.. It’s just for emphasis. Okay I’m glad we’re on the same page with that!
In my last blog post, I shared with you a time in my life where studying the word of God felt difficult but prayers came easy (for others it’s the opposite). However, If you ever find yourself in this phase or you’re in it right now, please pay attention because I believe this will bless you!

The reason it's easier to pray than to study the Word of God is also because

The enemy knows that the word of God was what Jesus used to overcome temptation after His prayer and fasting for 40 days and 40 nights and he is bent on making sure that the life of any Child of God should be ignorant of this understanding (i.e. the understanding of God’s word and how powerful it is). Let’s think about this, if Jesus who is the express image of the Father (Colossians 1:15) and the word Himself (John 1:14) still needed to use the word of God, how much more us? Jesus would have decided not to use the word of God all through the temptation phase but He used it to show us how powerful and of how much importance the word of God is in the life of a believer. He used it to show us one of the ways to overcome the devil and his tactics. See, any believer that Studies, Knows, Meditate, Understands, Pray, and Live the Word of God is a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
4. We also have to understand that to become strong in the spirit, one thing alone isn’t needed. We need the word, prayer, fasting, and praise/worship. For example, to make concrete for buildings, a mixture of cement, water, sand, and rock must be used, and the contractors must make sure they have a balanced amount of each one but if not, the building will not stand (I’m sure you definitely won’t stay in such a building because it’s risky). In the same way, the Lord wants us to live a balanced life where nothing is lacking. Ephesians 6:11-16 is the perfect scripture that tells us the importance of each tool that the Lord has given us. As much prayer is important, remember that the word of God and all other weapons we’ve been given by Jesus are as important as the other.
5. Besides using the Word Of God (WOG) to pray, the WOG also gives LIGHT and understanding. The WOG is how we KNOW God, UNDERSTAND His person and where He reveals how He OPERATES. See, many of us are in the LIGHT but if we don’t know the LIGHT, how do we reveal and share who we don’t know? How can you live a victorious life when you neither know who is fighting for you nor the words of the person fighting for you nor do you understand the words of the person fighting for you. God wants you to know Him and not just live in Him, the more you know Him, the more you understand THE LIFE you’ve been called to.
